Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is one of Europe’s foremost technical universities.
The Department for Energy Conversion and Storage (DTU Energy) focuses on education, research and development within functional materials and their application in sustainable energy technologies. Research topics include advanced characterization and development of fuel cells, electrolysis cells, redox flow batteries, next generation encapsulated batteries, sustainable energy storage materials, as well as computational materials design.
Main tasks in SPACER
DTU hosts a PhD project in SPACER focused on advanced electrochemical diagnostics of flow battery reactors and contributes to network training activities in electrochemical methods. The objective of the PhD project hosted at DTU is to conduct detailed electrochemical analyses of flow battery reactors with new types of carbon electrode architectures.
»The development of more efficient energy conversion storage devices is part of the core mission of DTU Energy, and the strong, international, and multidisciplinary team in SPACER provides a perfect platform for accelerating the introduction of next generation flow battery reactors.«
