The Institute of Smart Sensors (IIS) at the University of Stuttgart conducts research on new sensor technologies and their integration using microelectronic and photonic integration with an emphasis on first- and second-generation quantum technologies for various applications, including biomedical, chemical and industrial sensing.

Main tasks in SPACER

The IIS will research and develop a new type of electron spin resonance (ESR) imaging sensor for in-vitro and operando analysis of redox processes on electrodes.
